Textaural is the graphic design of Steve Jankowski. His work ranges between identity, print, web, and type design. He also engages the literary and visual arts as manifestations of cybernetic and metaphysical philosophies.
This series of illustrations were conceived of in correlation to the creation of a book project that is currently put on hold. The purpose of these images was to pull from the vastness of recorded history and create a document that represents the concept of æther as the location where ideas come from.
All of the images in this series are collages of illustrations taken from the public domain (Project Gutenberg) and rearranged and edited in surprising ways.
Equine Series
In developing a cover concept for Blair Trewartha’s chapbook of poetry Break in, a number of illustrations of horses (to break in a horse), were created. Here are some of those that were not suitable for the cover but do stand on their own.
